USE OF INSTITUTIONAL ALLIANCES

Identify and plan learning activities using the different alliances of the education centre as teaching resources, to attain the expected objectives taking into consideration the quality of students’ learning.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE

Modify the teaching practice towards continuous improvement, making relevant and appropriate teaching decisions based on the information coming from the teaching assessment system, considering the level of satisfaction and compliance of expectations of the education community as a whole.

Introduction:

The Learning Communities Challenge enables the teacher to diversify and make use of the sources and knowledge provided by the different collectives, volunteers, groups and institutions of the school environment, in the development of educational activities that are of vital importance to attain the institutional goals, through innovative planning that identifies and uses the means and alliances that can be established from the school with the environs, looking to transform the classroom into an open, delocalised, flexible meeting point that uses the close and remote natural learning areas found around it, and which add value to the quality of teaching.

This Challenge requires relevant and justified decision making using the most rigorous evidence possible, through the use of diverse tools and techniques that help us gather relevant information on teaching practices and, above all, on students’ learning, which light the way forwards for teacher training, for systematic improvement of each teacher’s practice in the classroom.

The basic learning material in the Learning Communities Challenge comprises descriptions of situations for practical application and an extensive library of resources to study this approach in depth.
