Digital transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence are fundamentally reshaping how we work, learn, and teach. In this rapidly changing global landscape, strengthening educators’ digital and pedagogical competencies has become an essential priority.
With this goal in mind, the Brazilian National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI), in partnership with the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), launched an international call to fund Proofs of Concept (POCs) aimed at improving vocational education through innovative technological solutions.
Among the selected startups is TeachersPRO, an educational platform developed in Finland that supports teacher professional development through competency-based challenges, AI-driven mentoring, and performance analytics. Its selection highlights the platform’s potential to enhance pedagogical practice within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
The solutions sought by SENAI and BIBB address the current challenges of technical and vocational education—particularly in a context where emerging technologies demand new skills and a more flexible approach to teaching. The call defined two priority areas:
TeachersPRO stands out especially in this second area, offering a pedagogical approach that integrates AI with competency-based learning for teachers.
The selection of TeachersPRO represents a significant step forward in our mission: to strengthen educational quality through tools that promote continuous professional development, competency-based learning, and sound pedagogical practice.
International cooperation in vocational education—such as the partnership between SENAI and BIBB—offers a powerful reminder of the impact that can be achieved when technological innovation aligns with a human-centered vision of teaching and learning.
This achievement reaffirms TeachersPRO’s commitment to building an education system better prepared for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s demands.
